The type EW-CFL-2439 Spreader Beam is a unique multitasking Beam which can be used by Crane or Forklift to lift long loads. Using a Crane, loads can be lifted via the centre single hook point (as a "Lifting Beam"), or end lifted using a 2 leg Chain Sling (as a ‘Spreader Beam’). If lifting by forklift, the 600mm long slipper pockets allow for fast and safe connection to the truck.

Spreader Beams consist of a long beam that converts the lifting load into a bending moment through the beam. This is a much less efficient use of material, and as a result, spreader beams are in general heavier than spreader bars. The main benefit of spreader beam is the substantially reduced headroom required to perform the lift. These qualities make spreader lifting beams well-suited to lighter, shorter span lifts that have a small headroom requirement, such as in smaller manufacturing shops or storage facilities. The EW-CSB 2x2 Crane Spreader Beam is 2 metres in length and has SWL of 2 tonnes. The 2x2 Spreader Beams are supplied standard with 5 lifting positions and also supplied with 2 safety swivel hooks.
